Libertarian Party of Idaho Elects New State Chair

Caldwell, ID – The 2020 Idaho Libertarian Party State Convention elected Jennifer Imhoff as the new Party’s state Chairwoman. Imhoff replaces Rob Oates who served as Chair for over 10 years.  Imhoff brings a new face and new approach to the party during a presidential election year.

Chairwoman Imhoff released the following statement on the election and her new post: “I am deeply humbled to serve such an amazing state party and its incredible members as chairwoman.

Idaho is one of the few states left where its citizens understand the value of liberty.  My focus will be on enabling the Libertarian Party of Idaho to be a more effective vehicle to advance our platform, focused on preserving those liberties and focus on how we can challenge the two old parties on the ballot and all across our state.”

Imhoff has been an active leader in the Libertarian Party since 2016, where she was the Northern California Communication Director for the Gary Johnson Campaign and later as the Chair of the Santa Clara County Libertarian Party, who’s county population is equal to the state of Idaho.

Imhoff  also volunteers her time as a Community Manager for a local information security group and as a public speaker on diversity in technology. She is a life member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and volunteers with the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center and the local Disaster Airlift Response Team.

She resides in Eagle, ID with her husband and two kids.
