Bill of Rights Day

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the US Congress held a Media Event at the Capitol in DC with members of Congress, from both sides of the aisle, asking all Americans to honor and celebrate Bill of Rights Day, December 15th, by reading and discussing the contents of the Bill of Rights with their family, friends, co-workers, and others in their network? I propose to have this Media event when Congress reconvenes sometime in the next two weeks that the House is in session. What does a US Representative get for doing this?

1) Give people faith and trust in their elected US Representative. Congress has only a 10% approval rating!

2) By doing this we are educating Americans as to their rights and will help preserve and protect them. The more you know about your rights the better they can be protected.

3) Help them get re-elected. I believe most people would like to know that their US Representative supports and defends our rights as Americans

I would like to get the word out to as many people as possible and ask adults to read, study, and learn the contents of the Bill of Rights in honor and celebration of Bill of Rights Day, December 15th. This will be the 229th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights by the states in 1791.

I would then ask adults to read and discuss the Bill of Rights with their family, friends, co-workers and anyone else in their network. Then have anyone share what they learned with our elected representatives through their websites: gov.idaho.gov; crapo.senate.gov; risch.senate.gov; fulcher.house.gov; simpson.house.gov

Thanks for agreeing to share this with anyone in your network.

Yours in Liberty,
Andy McKean, Liberty Lives Forever
